Shopify Store Connection

Three things to connect: your store URL, a theme access password, and an API token. The whole process takes about five minutes.

Store URL

Your Shopify store URL — find it in Settings → Domains. Looks like yourstore.myshopify.com.

Theme Access Password

Install the Shopify Theme Access app from the App Store and generate a password. This lets Forge read and modify your theme safely.

Admin API Token

In Settings → Apps → Develop apps, create a new app called "Optonomous" with the scopes below, then install and copy the access token.

Setup

Connect your Gmail support inbox via OAuth. Resolve samples your last 20 replies to learn brand voice, then you set an auto-send confidence threshold (default 90%) and choose which intents auto-reply versus queue for your review.

Auto-send vs. queue

Tickets above your confidence threshold are sent automatically. Everything else goes to Slack and the dashboard for review — you can approve, edit, or reject any draft before it's sent.

Shadow mode. For the first 48 hours, all drafts are queued regardless of confidence. This lets you calibrate before going fully autonomous.

Setup

Connect your Shopify store and payment processor (Stripe, or existing ReCharge/Loop). Configure subscription plans — pricing, frequency, trial periods — and set your failed payment retry rules.

Churn prevention

Pulse detects churn signals across the entire platform — cancel intent in support emails (via Resolve), repeated skips or pauses, multiple tickets in a short window, or payments failing after retries. When a signal fires, a save flow triggers automatically: pause offer, discount, product swap, or personal outreach.

The cardholder contacts their bank to dispute a charge.

Security & Privacy

Scoped Access

Limited to theme code, products, orders, inventory, customers, and fulfillments. We cannot view finances, analytics, or staff accounts.

Safe Editing

Theme changes happen on a duplicate. Your live store is never modified. Gmail is scoped to read + send on the support inbox only.

Encryption

TLS 1.3 in transit, AES-256 at rest. API tokens stored in an encrypted vault and never logged.

Compliance

PCI DSS Level 1 compliant for subscription billing. SOC 2 Type II in progress. GDPR-compliant data handling.

Data Retention

90-day retention after disconnection. Full deletion on request at any time.
